Embedding a Pinterest board within a blog post is important. Pinterest is this cool tool that your content can stay alive forever on and not vanish because it is more of a search engine than a social media platform.
Promoting your Pinterest account has more longevity than a Facebook post or an Instagram post.. and especially a Twitter post! Investing some time into Pinterest may be a fantastic place to start if you are looking at bringing in more traffic. And embedding your Pinterest boards within your blog posts is genius… because then you get more followers and people to connect with that WANT to engage with your brand!

Another plus is this only takes a few seconds so it can’t really hurt, right?
1 | LOG INTO PINTEREST, FIND BOARD YOU WANT TO EMBED
Log into your Pinterest account and figure out which board you want to embed within your blog post. Try to think strategic! If you are writing a blog post geared toward bloggers then embed a board that bloggers may enjoy following. Don’t just embed any board otherwise people will overlook it and you won’t get as many follows! So once you have picked out which awesome board (which I’m sure that decision was super hard since you have so many awesome boards to choose from) then you can go grab the code!
2 | CLICK ON THE “…” TO GRAB THE CODE
You expand the Pinterest board you are wanting to embed and then find the three little dots. These dots lead you to making the widget for your blog post!
That leads to a drop down menu. Now go make that widget!
3 | CLICK “MAKE A WIDGET”
This “make a widget” button leads to a popup that gives you code. Copy this code because it is super important! Sometimes, you can just click in the box and it will automatically copy but if it does not then press command + A that way you make sure you have selected the entire code.
4 | GO PASTE THIS CODE INTO BLOG POST
We are to the embed step of the process now! Head on over to the blog post you are wanting to embed your super awesome Pinterest board. Remember, you cannot paste this into the content or visual section of your blog post. Make sure to switch over to the HTML or “text” tab of the blog post. Once you are viewing the text version of your post then paste the code there! Click preview to make sure the Pinterest board appears in the right spot and you are good to go.
And now you have your incredible Pinterest board embedded within your incredible blog post. I embedded my “blog tips Pinterest board” so you could see what it looks like within a blog post.
