It will take 5 seconds. Maybe 10. And I’m going to walk you through, step by step, how to use these precious 5 seconds of your life to turn all those Facebook page visitors you have into customers, clients, or life long fans. The most exciting aspect of this tutorial is that ANY business can tweak what I am saying and benefit from this.

Facebook has definitely become a “pay to play” platform which I, personally, despise. For small business owners this is quite frustrating. We deserve a couple of hugs for putting up with Facebook’s algorithm changes month after month and still getting traffic from it (holla, boss babes!).
Although I am not a fan of using Facebook for my business, I’m not about to say I don’t find the platform as a helpful or useful tool. There are a lot of Facebook pages that I have seen that are fantastic pages, consistently posted on, and the content is on point. But there is no call to action. So there is all these potential customers or clients swarming their Facebook page… and the owner is not telling them what to do when they get there. They scroll through the posts and then click off and a week later will completely forget about that page entirely.
That is why I am writing this post. So YOU can gather up all those lovely face’s email address or information before they click off your awesome Facebook page.
So what’s the benefit to having a call to action button?
Optimize traffic from your Facebook page.
You’re channeling all those fantastic souls that are scanning your Facebook page onto another page that converts them in some way in your business. Whether a conversion means a sale, an introduction to a sales funnel, or an opt-in to an email list, you are optimizing all that traffic that is already there. You’re just telling them what to do and where to go if they end up lovin’ your brand and what you sell/promote/give.
Decreases amount of clicks.
One click and you’re to the landing page, video, or product. You no longer have to click to a blog post from the Facebok page, click on the other page from the post, and go down a long line of clicks. The user experience greatly increases with the addition of the call to action button on the Facebook page.
Focus on the end goal.
Adding this button lights a fire underneath your booty, in some ways. It makes you really dial in what you want the end goal to be when someone lands on your Facebook page to visit. Instead of awareness driven, your page is now action driven. And this, my friend, is pretty cool.
Convinced that you’ll be spending 5 seconds of your time wisely? Good. Because I know time is a big deal and I would hate to waste any of it.
1 | LOG INTO YOUR FACEBOOK PAGE
Make sure you are logged in to Facebook and then get your booty on over to your Facebook page.
2 | EDIT THE BUTTON
This is where the strategy starts. There is this call to action button and the point of this button is to tell all the page visitors what to do when visiting on your page. This could be a “call now” button if you run a dentistry and are trying to increase your calls every month. This could be a “book now” button which is what I used to have when I was doing freelance web design and graphic design. This button tells your audience what you want them to do, and that is critical when trying to win over that audience!
3 | GREAT, LOOK AT THE OPTIONS
There are a variety of options! You have a lot of different call to actions to choose from. Consider what your biggest goal or gain is to having a Facebook page. Did you create a page to receive more calls for your business? To get more e-mails? Receive more engagement on a video? Or grow your e-mail list? Whatever it is, make sure that the correct button is chosen!
4 | CHOOSE THE BUTTON + LINK IT
So for my business, Mara Burkes, I chose the “sign up” button because I have a crazy amount (over 90!) of free stock photography images that all of my lovely followers can sign up for. By the way, if you want to sign up I’ll send them straight to your inbox just click here so I can send those over to ya!
5 | SAVE CHANGES
Save all the changes you just made and that awesome call to action button will appear!
Feel free to share this post with anyone of your biz friends that hasn’t set up their Facebook call-to-action button yet!
