Morning habits that will change your life are found in this post so if you want your life to be changed keep reading. Since this post is targeted at full-time bloggers + biz owners I am assuming you have no full time job to go to because you’re blog + business IS your job. Awesome, we have so much in common! Mornings can be rough, right? If you’re a morning person then please teach me your ways because I desperately wish I was but something inside of me has always hated mornings. I am getting better and learning to wake up earlier and earlier each day, but I still have a lot more improvement to make in this area. Since I have a lot more improving to go, I thought making a post about 9 morning habits that will help further your blog + biz would be a great idea. So I did.

1 | THE EARLY BIRD GETS THE WORM. NOW GO GET THE WORM!
Getting an early start to your day is pretty much the best habit you can get into. You can either use this time to get a head start on your work or use this time to exercise/read the Bible/have some “you” time. Regardless, you get an extra hour or two to your day and personally I always feel more accomplished when I use this time to my advantage.
2 | HUGE, HEALTHY BREAKFAST
Breakfast is supposed to be the largest meal of the day so dude get to cookin’! When I wake up the last thing I want to do is start cooking a meal though. I’m a tad cranky and it takes a bit for me to wake up. If you are anything like me then maybe use your slow cooker to make oatmeal over night so that when you wake up, it is ready for you and already warm! You can also freeze homemade muffins that are really healthy, depending on how you make them. Pinterest is an awesome tool and has some really fantastic pre-made breakfast recipes that you should try out!
3 | LEMON WATER
If you have read the about section of my website, you know I am obsessed with lemon water. When I go out to eat the first thing I ask our waiter/waitress is to bring us out a bowl of lemons because when they refill my water they never bring out a fresh lemon. I’m tellin’ ya, I’m pretty high maintenance about my lemon water. But for good reasons! Lemon water has a lot of benefits. Drinking a glass of lemon water every morning helps your digestive system and actually helps out your metabolism throughout the day (hellloooo, those jeans I can’t fit in anymore).
4 | SHOWERING IN THE MORNING
Maybe you shower strictly at night, I get you. Me too. But sometimes, when I decide to shower in the morning I feel so refreshed. I shower right before I am about to start the day instead of as soon as I wake up.
5 | EXERCISE
Exercise wakes you up and typically provides you with more energy throughout the day. Crazy to think that using energy when you first wake up actually gives you more energy as your day goes on but hey it is true! Maybe starting out with baby steps will help ease yourself into the habit of working out every morning. If you take a shower every morning, make yourself do ten jumping jacks and five pushups before your shower. Keep increasing that number every morning until you get to a 30 minute workout session!
6 | PRAYING BEFORE YOUR DAY STARTS
If you have to drive to your office, pray on the way there! Instead of listening to the radio every morning just tune all the excess noise out and talk to the God who created you. I love one on one time with God while I am driving and He has answered so many of my car prayers! If you are not a Christian and do not believe in prayer, thinking about everything you are thankful for on the way to work while driving might be a better solution! Personally, prayer has brought me through some horrible times and the conversations I have with the Lord are so powerful, as are yours!
7 | SKIN CARE
Wash your face with lukewarm water, not hot water. If you are planning on putting makeup on after washing your face then hot water actually does more harm than good. Hot water opens up your pores so that makes it easier for the makeup to clog them! No good. Hot water is perfect for your night time routine though and steaming your face is pretty cool too so you should try it (face steamers are around $30 on Amazon)! Skin care doesn’t really further your business and bring you more sales but it does keep you more confident and that is key.
8 | STRETCHING IS COOL, BE COOL.
Stretching does a lot of cool stuff to your body. Good cool stuff not bad cool stuff. Setting aside a time just to stretch in the middle of the day or afternoon is a great idea. Especially for us biz owners + bloggers who sit in front of a screen all day!
9 | MAKE A TO-DO LIST FOR YOUR DAY
I mean the detailed “I can totally check this off” check list for your day not the “crap I’m never going to get any of this done” check list. And then set timers to do each task because timers give me a little kick in the butt which I definitely need sometimes. Wait, what? You want a FREEEE TO-DO LIST PRINTABLE??
