Changing the board covers on your Pinterest dramatically increases the aesthetic appearance of your account! Every small detail helps and hey, this is an easy detail that many Pinterest users overlook. I would suggest you taking ONE minute of your time to watch the video in this post that explains how simple it is to conquer the board cover dilemma.

You can easily accomplish this task in under 30 minutes. This helped my rate of daily follows increase and I hope this increases yours as well!
There are also ways to make custom board covers and I know some fantastic pinners that do this! I chose to go the route of using brightly lit stock photography for my board covers just to save time. Plus, if I ever ended up adding another board I wouldn’t want to go back and create another board cover. So if the video didn’t explain it the way you want or you would rather read step by step on how to change your Pinterest board covers then keep reading! I put together a list of five simple steps that you can read over.
1 | GO TO YOUR PINTEREST PROFILE
This one is obvious and I feel like I don’t have to explain further with this point. Take a second to look at your profile though, does it attract your target audience? Just a thought that helped me out a few months ago! If your board covers are pretty but your profile description is not worded strategically then you may want to start with your profile description.
2 | CHOOSE THE BOARD YOU WANT TO EDIT, THEN CLICK “EDIT”
I just chose my first one “blog tips” in the video but start with whichever blog board you want! Also, you do not have to change all of them just the boards you feel like need to change. I ended up changing all of my board covers but that is because prior to the switch I had awful looking covers, ha! Some of your board covers may already fit the theme you are going for. But then again, maybe not. More than likely you will probably have to end up switching the majority of your board covers over to prettier ones. Worth it? Definitely.
3 | PRESS “CHANGE” NEXT TO THE WORD COVER
Yes, you made it this far which means you are actually changing your board covers! I’m super proud right now. Press “change” so you can go ahead and start choosing which pretty board cover you want!
4 | CHOOSE WHICH IMAGE YOU WANT AS YOUR BOARD COVER
This will pull from the pins you have within that board. If you want an even more cohesive look you can create your own graphics for these board covers and then simply link the image you made to your website! Then choose this image as your board cover! I went the easier route and decided to change all the images to bright + well-lit photos that seemed to go together. But you do you, girl!
5 | NOW SAVE YOUR CHOICE
Sometimes, your board cover doesn’t actually save. At times, I have had to redo my board cover and press “save” around 3 or 4 times until it finally saved and switched over. Hopefully you do not have my luck and will not have this problem! I’ll cross my fingers for you. My computer can be a bit sketch sometimes, at least my traveling computer can. Take a step back and look at your new masterpiece. You rock!
