So, you may or may not know that I have taken a job as a digital marketing strategist at an agency. If you didn’t know that, surprise! I no longer run Mara Burkes full time anymore (sad face) but I absolutely love working where I work so it is worth giving up 8 hours of my day to a job, mainly because I have a cool boss. But as soon as I took this job, my husband got a job offer from a town an hour and a half away which he took after much consideration. Since he is a football coach and teacher, he ended up jumping at this opportunity which left me driving an hour and a half to work and back.

With this drive came a bunch of other changes, but the one change that I have loved is the fact that I have started listening to podcasts. I hate wasting time. Every fiber of my being hates the thought that I am driving 3 hours a day and wasting all that time that I could be working on Mara Burkes or making dinner for us. So instead of wasting time I decided to use the time in the car as professional development time. I take notes while listening to marketing and business podcasts on the drive there and back. I have learned a crazy amount of valuable information by using my time this way! I actually look forward to my long commute now.
Since my podcast craze is pretty current, I wanted to make a podcast resource list for female entrepreneurs because I figured that may be helpful!
ONE | Market Beautifully Podcast
Did you not hear? I have a podcast now. The Market Beautifully podcast is a resource for lady entrepreneurs that crave to crack the code when it comes to online marketing and social media. I have awesome interviews lined up and some great content that I share as well. Stop by www.marketbeautifully.com for a visit and subscribe via Itunes + Soundcloud if you want!
TWO | Entrepreneur On Fire
John Dumas. This dude. He literally drops a podcast seven times a week. How the heck does he do it? I have no clue. But he does. And it is incredible. His podcast has amazing interviews of entrepreneurs in different niches that “made it” in the world. The testimonials and stories of people are super cool so you should check it out.
THREE | THE ART OF PAID TRAFFIC
Rick Mulready is one talented, knowledgable guy that I love following. He is the one behind the Art of Paid Traffic and I enjoy getting to hear all of his content he puts out! My job at the agency I work at is to run Facebook ads strategically, that is a big part of what I do. Rick is the master at Facebook ads. He has incredible advice that you have to listen to. I love taking notes while listening to this podcast because I feel like I am storing up awesome information.
FOUR | ONLINE MARKETING MADE EASY
My favorite. I love Amy Porterfield. Not going to lie, I went to a conference just because I heard she was going to be there. I saw her in person and it confirmed how cool she is. All of her marketing advice is fantastic and she is a great resource for lady entrepreneurs as well!
Five | SCREW NINE TO FIVE
These two that run this podcast are a dynamic duo. I love their brand and what they try to help people with, those who are feeling stuck in their nine to five and inspiring them to accomplish bigger and better things. It is incredible!
Six | GARY VEE
Gary Vee just does it all. He’s an inspirational dude that has it together. Listening to his story, following his business, and watching his videos just makes me want to do so many more things. He teaches you to work hard and never give up.
Seven | CHALENE JOHNSON
So Chalene is pretty cool because she started out in the health + fitness niche and now teaches social media strategies but really hones in on the power of Instagram.
Eight | PAT FLYNN
Pat Flynn is just amazing. If you don’t follow Flynn, you need to get on this ASAP. He teaches valuable information for business owners no matter what niche you are in.
Nine | LEWIS HOWES
I registered for his webinar. Fell in love with the content. Found his podcast. I’m hooked. Go check out Lewis Howes podcast!

Eighteen | 1 Day BB Podcast
This is AMAZING. Chris and Pat take real business problems from a real business owner and solve them on the podcast. A lot of business owners struggle with similar things. Owning a business can be exhausting because problems multiply faster than solutions at times. So I love listening to advice from leaders in the marketing industry.
Nineteen | All Up in Your Lady Business
Jessica from Hey Jessica is pretty cool and she runs this podcast called “All up in your lady business.” Aimed toward female business owners!
Twenty | Today’s Leading Women
Today’s Leading Women interviews incredibly inspirational women who offer unique perspectives on business as well as provide amazing insight into improving your own business. I’m a fan of listening to what others are doing that way I can improve what I am doing. No need to reinvent the wheel. So I enjoy being able to hear what these awesome women are up to!
If you listen to a podcast that any fellow female entrepreneur would love, please list it below in the comments with a link! I would love to check it out and for others to check it out as well. Thanks, loves!
