1 | Analytics
You can’t beat this. If you have google analytics hooked up to your website then girl, you know how important stats are to your success. Understanding what your stats mean help you focus on the strong points in your blog/business and help you strengthen the weak points that your stats so clearly point out to you. Pinterest analytics is the same way! With Pinterest being such a powerful tool that can drive sales and connect you to some super kick awesome people, you do not want this social media outlet to slip away from you. Being able to see which pins perform better and understanding why they are performing better than others helps you create pin-worthy graphics for your site so your traffic will increase tremendously.
2 | Rich Pins
Rich pins are da bomb and you need to get involved in this right now. Your pins have your name on them and your favicon and your post title and wow, it’s great. You can’t go wrong with applying for rich pins. I wish I would have sooner! Later on, I will be posting a tutorial on how to apply for rich pins.
3 | Verifies that you’re a business
You’re a business and when people land on your page they know you mean business, because you own one! This makes you a lot more credible and overall, having a business Pinterest account is straight up professional. Which is what we want to portray, professionalism and that we have it all together!
4 | Provides access to promoted pins
You’re able to advertise for a fairly reasonable price with Pinterest, a huge platform that can grow your brand like no other. Even if you are not into advertising this is an option you may want in the future. It is always good to be prepared and know that down the road, you can always promote your pins like crazy for however long you want to! No long waiting game because you have already been accepted.
5 | Future tools for Pinterest are only accessible to business Pinterest account owners
They will send you updates and notifications as soon as future tools are released. How sweet of them! But this only happens for those that hold business Pinterest accounts, not personal. So hey if you want to stay updated then you should probably switch!
6 | Buyable pins
If you are big with certain merchants like Shopify, which seems to be pretty big these days, you can have your pins display a buy button. Even though this feature is for mobile devices only it is still pretty nifty and worth the effort of creating if you have a Shopify account! I’m personally not using Shopify but I know some who do and this is a pretty cool feature!
And hey, if you like Pinterest than you probably understand the importance of using great images when pinning content. If you want 26 free stock photography images (that may include sugary sprinkled donuts) sent straight to your inbox then you can sign up below or simply go to this page.
